Like all other countries in the world UAE carries out a census every ten years by sending thousands of enumerators to visit you and all other people who live in the land of UAE.
Enumerator wants to know how many people live in the house? How old are they? Are they males or females? What are their nationalities? Do they study or they go to work? So we can see the real image of UAE and how many hands are building the country.
But why does UAE spend all this money and employ all these enumerators to gather that kind of information about you?
- One of the ways to use this information is to find out what areas need any kind of services or buildings, For example, if we found that the kids living in an area are increasing faster than the last census count ten years before, this means they are in a need of new schools, or if the number of workers increased a lot, this means we need new and bigger roads to make transportation easier for them.
- The enumerator also will ask if anyone of the family is disabled and the kind of disability so the country could fulfill his special needs for education and health care and make suitable building.
- The enumerator as well wants to know the number of the people working in the UAE and the kind of works needed so as to teach and prepare the kids to take up in the future.
